Designed
for Engineering |
The
structure of Frames-2 is focused on the tests performed
to derive material data for engineering applications.
The actual tests which are implemented are the
most used (Static Strenght, Fatigue, Crack Growth,
etc..). The specifications and the nomenclature
for all the test data are compliant with ESA PSS-01-745
and are based on the international standards such
as ISO, IN and ASTM.

Capabilities |
FRAMES-2
allows the manual or automated input and the edition
of the raw data provided by laboratories. A computation
module has been developed for the derivation of such
raw data.
A detailed attention was given to the design of the data set research
by materials, or multi-criteria. |

A
specific graphic function was developed allowing
the moving of a groups of dots, and the curve fitting
plotted from the calculated parameters. FRAMES-2
also has the reporting functions (printing, display)
on selected materials. |

Technologies |
FRAMES-2
was designed and developed in object oriented language
(C++). The release 1.0, carried out for UNIX is
ported on Windows platform.
The database was entirely designed and optimised for the research
engine tool for material search.
